Overview

Coram's Fields is a seven acre park for children, and apart from the open, grassy areas designated for play, it has its own petting zoo and farm where its visitors can safely interact with goats, sheep, rabbits and guinea pigs - or feed the ducks on the edge of its pond.

Tall play structures made of metal and wood compete with the park's trees for space and size, designed to stimulate the imagination. The park is also home to a Children's Centre, Youth Centre, and Community Nursery, but a large part of its draw is the sports programme, which offers a variety of physical activities for children from all ethnic backgrounds, ages six to sixteen during the school term, and the green fields in which to play them. Football is, perhaps unsurprisingly, the most popular.

Signs posted around the park act as a constant reminder that no adults are allowed here unless they are a volunteer, or accompanied by a child.
