Notting Hill
Notting Hill
A row of townhomes in Notting Hill.

Not as tourist-centered as other parts of London, Notting Hill has flourished as a hotbed of music and art innovation. With creativity as a major component to its demeanor, this is a vibrant and deeply cultural place to visit. Narrow cobblestone alleyways separate buildings from one another, many of them handsome and aged with fingers of ivy creeping up brick walls and across rippled glass windows with their curtains left open to welcome in the rare shimmer of sunshine.

The Portobello Road Market is an excellent place to shop for seasonal produce during the week, and the air around it hangs heavy with the clean, damp smell of fresh earth, while antique vendors set up shop and claim the space during the weekend to peddle their wares in the same fashion as old time flea markets.
